North Sydney, 1 May 2015 – Australia's leading office supplies and stationery retailer, Officeworks, has implemented Stibo Systems’ award winning Master Data Management platform to re-engineer its product information across all its sales channels. The system gives Officeworks a single source of truth for product information across the 20,000 products it sells. Officeworks will have a single trusted source of product data for its retail stores, POS system, online web properties, mobile commerce applications, catalogue, direct mail, call centre, social media and B2B sales channels.
As the largest office supplies business in Australia and with numerous sales channels, Officeworks have tremendous reach into the market. The challenge is aggregating and managing data across the breadth of the suppliers they work with and the sales channels they fill to provide the absolute best information to customers. Partnering with Stibo Systems, Officeworks now use product information as a strategic operational asset to improve the customer experience across all channels. Customers gain a seamless experience, regardless of location and device, giving them the most complete information to make an easy and informed purchasing decision.
Stibo Systems’ Master Data Management solution provides the data governance, policies and integrations to the Officeworks ERP, WebSphere eCommerce and Salesforce systems. Data collection from external parties such as CNet will be implemented in a second phase this year.
- The Stibo MDM platform has provided a centralized repository for rich product information that can be delivered across channels
- The project once fully completed will optimise Officeworks’ end-to-end process to create, maintain and remove products across its enterprise and supplier network
- Use of the platform is on track to speed up time to market for products and increased data quality and consistency.
"We are delighted to partner with the Officeworks organisation. With Stibo Systems, Officeworks will be at the forefront of the organisations who proactively manage their information supply chain, turning data about its products, its suppliers, its employees, its assets, and its locations into strategic information to win the battle for customer acquisition, conversion and retention.” Willem van Dijk, Managing Director, Stibo Systems Australia and New Zealand.
