Leading Swiss online supermarket implements PIM solution to improve accuracy ahead of EU regulations

Reading, UK, April 21, 2015 –, the leading Swiss online supermarket has selected Stibo Systems' award-winning product information management (PIM) solution for efficient and effective management of product information across its online, mobile and click-and-collect channels. 

Based in Écublens, Switzerland, is the flagship online subsidiary of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives.  With strong growth, partly attributed to its new same-day delivery service and an increase in mobile transactions, posted market-leading revenues of 165 million Swiss francs in 2014.

As part of a recent decision to revamp its entire IT infrastructure to support its growth, chose Stibo Systems’ STEP solution to replace its own internally developed information system which had been in place since the company’s formation in 1997. 

STEP will be used by the company to prepare for the introduction of EU Regulation 1169, which requires a higher level of standards on the provision of information regarding ingredients and allergy-causing substances found in all products offered for sale, including online.

STEP will be used to improve the accuracy and agility of the retailer’s online operation and innovative DRIVE service by delivering more structured and richer product information.
