Clarins continues to optimize its customer experience with Stibo Systems and Arhis

Aarhus, Denmark, July 10, 2023 – The Clarins beauty brand, number one in high-end care in Europe, continues to optimize its customer experience with the Stibo Systems Master Data Management Enterprise Platform (STEP) solution.

The iconic French company has decided to go further in managing its customer data through the collection and unified management of omnichannel data. The brand can know and recognize its customers instantly, regardless of the point of contact (physical stores, website, customer service, etc.). This will eventually make it possible to optimize the quality and integrity of customer information, facilitate GDPR compliance, acquire new prospects and, above all, improve the customer experience on all communication channels.

In concrete terms, this transformation is based on a technological solution deployed in all countries where Clarins is present and aims to clean, deduplicate and merge contacts in a single database (error detection, correction of emails and postal addresses, detection of duplicates, etc.) and ensures the synchronization of information system applications in real time.

To meet its objectives, Clarins first sought a market-proven master data management solution, capable of supporting large volumes in real time while respecting the legislation of the countries in which they were present.

After a consultation of software solutions recognized on the market, Stibo Systems’ STEP platform quickly presented itself to Clarins as the right tool to support the company’s ambitions.

“The STEP solution allows a perfect mastery of legal issues that go beyond the framework of the European GDPR. It also guarantees complete traceability of our customers’ journeys through all our contact points,” said Hakim Taalba, Data & CRM Technology Director at Clarins. “In addition, our data stewards are now able to better qualify and correct customer data through a user-friendly interface adapted to their profile.”

From now on, on the pilot perimeter that Spain represents, when a customer is created on the company’s website, it is automatically integrated into STEP to pass a series of quality controls and treatments while being shared simultaneously to all customer relationship applications (marketing automation, customer service, etc.). This vision of the golden record or 360-agree customer view is essential for companies that, like Clarins, want to make communication a growth lever to support sales.

Building on this first success, Arhis deployed the pilot country. South Africa and will continue its deployment in all the brand's countries in the coming months.
