Stibo Systems - The Master Data Management Company

Aarhus, Denmark, November 17, 2014 - Stibo Systems, the global master data management (MDM) company, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. (NYSE:IT) as a November 2014 Leader in its Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management of Product Data Solutions. Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Master Data Management Solutions from Product Data provides insight into the rapidly evolving market of Master Data Management (MDM) solution providers. This focuses on the management of product data in support of supply chain management, e-commerce and other customer-related strategies. Gartner evaluates technology vendors in each quadrant based on the completeness of their solution vision relative to market expectations and their ability to realize that vision.

According to Gartner, the share of master data management in the market segment for product data solutions grew by almost nine percent. More and more end-user companies are using MDM as the core of a transition to digital business.

According to Gartner, vendors in the "Leaders" quadrant have demonstrated strong results and execution capabilities and will continue to do so. In relation to the size of the market, you have a large and satisfied customer base and a visible position in the market. Their size and financial strength enable them to survive in a changing economy. Leading vendors have mature offerings and references from successful implementations, even in the most challenging environments, in at least two regions, and across many industries. Leaders have the strategic vision to use evolving customer needs as a business opportunity; however, are not always the best choice.

The product data solution STEP Trailblazer from Stibo Systems enables users to derive even greater and faster benefits from their MDM initiatives with a very high degree of flexibility on the basis of a single, central platform. STEP offers feature richness, strong data modeling and workflow capabilities, while streamlining the process of aggregating and consolidating operational information from different sources and formats.

From research
“Companies of all sizes and across many industries find it difficult to maintain and deliver a single version of product data in a way that is consistent, accurate and usable everywhere. As the focus on enterprise digitization increases, so does master data management," writes Andrew White, Vice President Distinguished Analyst, and Bill O'Kane, Research Director at Gartner. They continue: "Having and maintaining a single, semantically consistent master record for each product is critical to any customer-centric business."
