Atlanta, GA, November 30, 2022–Global master data management (MDM) solutions provider Stibo Systems joins Year Up Greater Atlanta to celebrate students’ achievements and introduce them to the MDM space.
At the Dec. 2, 2022 virtual celebration, Stibo Systems volunteers will present “A Day in the Life of a Master Data Management Professional” to a group of Year Up Greater Atlanta students between the ages of 18 to 29. The interactive presentation will be followed by an “ask-me-anything” session.
Year Up Greater Atlanta’s mission is to close the opportunity divide by ensuring young adults gain the skills, experiences and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education. Students spend six months learning crucial technical and soft skills and then begin internships with corporate partners, many of which turn into full-time careers.
“Working with Year Up Greater Atlanta allows us to celebrate everything these students have accomplished over a rigorous six months,” said Russ Simpson, Stibo Systems Senior Vice President, People & Culture. “We’re excited to answer any questions about working in the MDM space, offer advice about a career in tech and, most importantly, just be present.”
As part of Stibo Systems’ commitment to corporate social responsibility, all employees are encouraged to spend two workdays a year volunteering locally. In addition to the presentation in December, Stibo Systems is holding a clothing drive to provide Year Up Greater Atlanta students with professional clothing to wear to interviews and on the job.
“In addition to supporting our communities at the corporate level, we believe it’s important to find opportunities to add value in a personal way,” said Katrina Pedersen, Senior Manager Process Improvement at Stibo Systems. “Right here in Atlanta, we have a chance to offer students guidance based on our own career paths and give some insight into MDM – a path they may even choose to pursue themselves.”
