Stibo Systems - The Master Data Management Company

Aarhus, Denmark, November 7, 2022 – Global sports and outdoor company Thule Group is using Stibo Systems Data as a Service (DaaS) to boost its e-commerce activities and keep its websites up to date. Thule Group has been using Stibo Systems' Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities for 13 years. With DaaS, the company is taking a game-changing step in its digitalization journey.

“Operating in 140 markets, we have to make sure our 80-plus market websites and 3,500 products worldwide are consistent and accurate,” said Jessica Eriksson, Thule Group Director, Global Online Solutions. “As a single, centralized master data service, Stibo Systems DaaS removes the need for us to create multiple copies of data for each application to deliver data at scale to our websites and other applications.”

Stibo Systems launched DaaS earlier this year as a cloud-based data distribution service focused on delivering data in real-time to high-volume data-consuming applications.

“We believe MDM is part of a larger data ecosystem,” said Neda Nia, Stibo Systems Chief Product Officer. “In the ecosystem, data shareability is essential. Stibo Systems’ Data as a Service offers always-on scalable access to master data for consuming applications without the need to introduce middleware. These systems can simply consume data in real-time using a configurable GraphQL API.”

“Talking about the business value Data as a Service eliminates the need for businesses to build data back-ends with API’s and reduces the overhead needed to maintain those back-ends,” Nia explained. “This reduces cost and makes it fast and easy to make full use of available master data. We are delighted to see Thule as one of the many customers who have been able to save on building APIs, not to mention minimizing the risk of potential data inconsistency as a result of having duplicated data in multiple places.”
