As a data store, MongoDB may be used as a highly scalable operational data store. It can, for example, drive a website directly without the need for a website repository. The MongoDB instance may also be used for big data analytics using Hadoop by also publishing other types of data to MongoDB, e.g., from the ERP system and other sources.
