Challenges
Managing digitalization and rapid business growth
Like many growing multinational companies with substantial complexity and scope, Alicorp sought to digitalize its business and integrate significant product data across multiple countries, currencies, customers and channels.
Many of the company’s suppliers are not yet digitalized, creating numerous communications and logistics challenges in getting products to market. Additionally, the company experienced challenges managing and governing the data needed for its digital platforms.
“We were looking for data solutions that fit our architecture. We mainly chose Stibo Systems because of the prestige it has in the data management market and recommendations from clients who have had very good experiences with Stibo Systems.”- Hernán Rojas, Digital Project Manager, Alicorp
Solutions
Accelerating digital transformation and growth
To address Alicorp’s data management requirements, the company implemented Product Master Data Management (Product MDM), built on the Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP), and Product Data Exchange (PDX).
Product MDM serves as Alicorp’s product information management system, empowering its teams to accurately collect, organize and share product information across its enterprise. The solution eliminated reliance on spreadsheets and streamlined the management of its certification data, enabling the company to ensure accurate nutritional information on its products and compliance with food safety regulations.
Alicorp uses PDX to syndicate product information and content to its retail partners, ensuring consistent and reliable product data across all channels. PDX collects product information once from Product MDM and delivers it to the company’s different retail channels.
“With the implementation of PDX, we can share our products in a much faster, more seamless way than previously. It used to take us a long time to respond, and now we can give them what they need in minutes.” - Hernán Rojas, Digital Project Manager, Alicorp
Outcomes
Improved customer engagement and satisfaction
Alicorp has made great progress in digitalizing its business in recent years. The company launched two digital customer self-management platforms, featuring enhanced product information for its customer segments. The result: customer engagement and satisfaction increased by approximately 80%.
The Product MDM and PDX implementations were crucial in preventing potential sales losses and maintaining an updated platform for its customers, while setting the stage for the company to expand into new markets more efficiently in the future.
“It’s been a very rewarding journey. We have achieved a lot of objectives thanks in part to the Stibo Systems implementation," said Rojas. “It has been quite good to work with a partner that stays on the cutting edge of technology trends.”
As part of its strategy, Alicorp's teams are working to reduce other process inefficiencies, optimize costs and identify future expansion opportunities in other countries.
