Reading, UK, March 2nd 2016 - Stibo Systems today unveils STEP Trailblazer 8.0, the latest iteration of its Multidomain Master Data Management (MDM) solution, introducing the STEP In-Memory Database component.
Taking advantage of large amounts of application server memory, the In-Memory database provides exceptional performance by allowing data to be accessed directly from memory rather than to-and-from disk. In particular, this improves the time taken on heavy processes such as exporting large sets of complex data, or handling data objects with multiple references.
According to Christophe Marcant, VP of Product Strategy at Stibo Systems, “MDM has become mission critical in enabling organisations to master the growing tide of information flowing through their business, but it requires technology that allows the management of high volumes of data across complex multiple domains.”
He continues, “With more businesses undergoing a substantial digital transformation, the need for larger and more complex product and customer data is increasing. Whether accessing data held on-premise or in the Cloud, the In-Memory database can improve search speeds of complex data models by up to 100 times, and make exporting data up to three times faster.”
The STEP In-Memory Database can be deployed easily by new and existing customers; the infrastructure scales dynamically according to the volume and complexity of the organisation’s data.
Additional enhanced features in STEP Trailblazer 8.0 include significant improvements and key additions to the Web UI feature, including new abilities to directly on-board multiple new products.
STEP Trailblazer 8.0 will be rolled out in the Spring.
