As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for the messaging and positioning of our product data products.  You will be the evangelist both internally and externally as the subject matter expert (SME).  Must be detail oriented, have an eye for quality, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial.  You will be the expert as to whom to target, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the organization.

Key responsibilities:

The position of Director of Product Marketing – Product Master Data Management reports to Chief Marketing Officer and can be based either out of our Reading, UK office or from our HQ in Aarhus, Denmark.

Your primary objectives are as follows:

Messaging - Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.

Enablement – communicate the value proposition of our products to sales and marketing and the organization.  Develop sales tools, collateral and programs that support the selling process of our products. This will include attending sales meetings with prospects as well as attending trade functions.

Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition. Collaborate with the product management team to influence the road map base on market trends.

Analysis - measure what works, what doesn’t work and base business decisions on the analysis of that data feeding both the corporate sales strategy and product roadmap

Travel activity of approximately 25% should be expected, primarily anchored in the European region although some global travel is to be expected.

Core professional skills and personal competencies:

  • Extensive experience in B2B enterprise software product marketing; experience in product management a plus
  • Expertise with the product data space including market trends and the competitive landscape
  • Experience evangelizing technical products across settings including webinars, trade shows, sales meetings, and company events
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills; ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently while managing aggressive deadlines and maintaining high quality output
  • Excellent people and management skills; interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating a high degree of flexibility and entrepreneurial drive
