Stibo Systems, the independent market leader in master data management, announces that it was the highest ranking PIM vendor in Ventana Research's 2011 Value Index for Product Information Management, a new research-based index designed to provide authoritative metrics to guide business and IT buyers, which was released yesterday.
Ventana Research wrote in its press release: "in the 2011 Value Index for Product Information Management, the company delivering the highest value on an overall weighted-evaluation basis is Stibo Systems, which earned the Hot Vendor rating. It is followed by Hybris and SAP which were also rated as Hot Vendors, and then Pindar, Riversand, Heiler and IBM which earned the Warm Vendor rating. Oracle and Enterworks were rated as Cold."
As the top overall ranked "Hot Vendor,"Stibo Systems' STEP PIM/MDM enterprise solution ranked highest in seven key categories. Five of the categories were product-related: usability, manageability, reliability, capability and adaptability. The remaining two categories focused on customer assurance: vendor validations and total cost of ownership/return on investment. The other vendors in the research include Enterworks, Heiler Software, Hybris, IBM, Oracle, Pindar, Riversand and SAP.
